Vincent van Gogh
Vincent van Gogh, born in Zundert in Brabant, began his artistic life at the end of the 19th century at the age of 27, after his older brother Theo advised him to do more with his drawings. Vincent lived in various places in Europe and often sent his younger brother drawings of what he saw there. In Brussels he worked on his drawing technique, then returned to his parents in Etten and settled in The Hague. In Nuenen he started his first studio, and used it a lot to record "peasant life", like his famous work: The potato eaters. After moving to France, Vincent made his most iconic works, often starring nature. In the end, Vincent's post-impressionist paintings became one of the most famous Dutch painters ever, the icing on the cake being the Vincent van Gogh Museum on the Museumplein in Amsterdam.
